Este artículo persigue identificar los principales temas que conforman el debate político español respecto a los menores extranjeros no acompañados, y conocer si este debate tiene una finalidad electoralista, o bien, garantizar su interés superior. El enfoque metodológico elegido para llevar a cabo el estudio es el Análisis de Contenido de 23 noticias de prensa escrita. La matriz de análisis está compuesta por siete dimensiones: delito y discurso de odio; responsabilidades y acusaciones políticas; instrumentalización electoral; centros de menores; propuestas de intervención; discriminación, agresiones a menores y su interés superior; y seguridad ciudadana. Los resultados muestran cómo los principales temas sobre los que debaten los partidos políticos españoles son los delitos y los discursos de odio, los centros de menores y la seguridad ciudadana. Por otro lado, este debate se realiza con fines electorales, pues las declaraciones realizadas por los diversos partidos son ataques y reproches a sus rivales políticos. El sustento argumental de los partidos con una ideología afín a la izquierda es el principio de no-discriminación social, mientras que Vox emplea el discurso del miedo y la seguridad ciudadana.
The first objective of this article is to identify the main issues that shape the Spanish political debate about unaccompanied foreign children. In addition, it seeks to know if this debate wants to reinforce their political ideology. The methodological approach chosen to carry out the study is Content Analysis. Likewise, 23 press reports in newspapers have been the analysis texts. The analysis matrix has seven dimensions: crime and hate speech; political responsibilities and accusations; electoral instrumentalization; social centers internment for minors; proposals of intervention; discrimination, assaults on children and their best interests; and citizen security. The results obtained show how the main issues debated by Spanish political parties are crimes and hate speech, social interment centers and citizen security. On the other hand, it has been observed that this debate is carried out for electoral purposes, since the statements made by the various parties are attacks and reproaches to their political rivals. The argumentative support of the parties with an ideology related to the left is based on the principle of non-discrimination in society, while Vox uses the discourse of fear and citizen security to justify its political proposals
