Argel considera que la cuestión del Sahara Occidental es un claro caso de descolonización mientras que las autoridades marroquíes defienden que la excolonia española es una parte inseparable del Reino. Marruecos niega la existencia del pueblo saharaui y cree que se trata de un conflicto artificial donde la contraparte es Argelia que arma al Polisario y acoge a cientos de miles de refugiados saharauis. Este artículo trata de analizar desde las perspectivas histórica y politológica la implicación de Argelia en el conflicto saharaui tratando de ver el grado de influencia en una controversia que condena el desarrollo del Magreb.
Algiers considers that the Western Sahara conflict is a clear decolonization case, while Moroccan authorities defend that the former Spanish colony is an inseparable part of the Kingdom. Morocco does not accept the existence of Saharawi people and ensure that this is an artificial conflict promoted by Algeria who is the other part, arming the Polisario Front and receiving hundreds of Saharawi refugees. This article tries to analyse, from the perspectives historical and political, the Algerian involvement in the Saharawi conflict to find out its level of influence in this dispute which condemns the development in the Region of Maghreb.
