The orientation of subjects as architectural composition, in the curricula of schools of architecture, shows the current dichotomy of matter that has moved its contents, historically, from the practice of the project to the art theory; from the history to the philosophy. In this paper we argue a strong commitment to the art history and architecture as fundamental driver of the subject through a case study, Composition 4, in the School of Architecture at the UIC Barcelona: theory and practice as inseparable methodology to build the discourse of the history.
