This study focuses on the contributions of Samuel Pufendorf (1632-1694), Christian Thomasius(1655-1728) and Christian Wolff (1679-1754) to different areas of the German Enlightenment, especially the formation of the so-called modern natural law. The study is structured around four successive axes. In the first part, the theme is contextualized, revisiting the ruptures and transitions that characterized the period. In the three subsequent sections, aspects of the trajectory of each of these theorists are linked to their main investigations. The conclusion evaluates their contributions, distinguishing the circumstantial aspects –the result of the historical situation –from those that are still relevant. How can we synthesize the legacy of each of these thinkers? Supported by bibliographical sources of the authors and their critics, the aim is to develop discussions on the topic, which are often quite restricted to the philosophical scope or legal realities of other countries
Esta pesquisa tem como objeto as contribuições de Samuel Pufendorf (1632-1694), Christian Thomasius (1655-1728) e Christian Wolff (1679-1754) para o iluminismo germânico, em diferentes áreas, especialmente na formação do chamado Direito Natural moderno. O trabalho estrutura-se em quatro eixos sucessivos. Na primeira etapa, contextualiza-se o tema, retomando-se as rupturas e as transições que caracterizaram o período. Nas três partes posteriores, interligam-se aspectos da trajetória de cada um dos teóricos às suas principais investigações. Os apontamentos conclusivos avaliam seus aportes, distinguindo as perspectivas circunstanciais –fruto da conjuntura histórica estrita –daqueles que persistem. Como podemos sintetizar, afinal, o legado de cada um dos pensadores? Com suporte em fontes bibliográficas dos autores e seus críticos, objetiva-se ampliar as discussões do tema, bastante restritas, por vezes, ao âmbito filosófico ou a realidades jurídicas de outros países.
