La presente investigación tiene como propósito describir el grado de relación entre interacción comunicativa y competencia comunicativa en el área de inglés en estudiantes de cuarto grado de nivel secundario de una Institución Educativa. De la población conformada por estudiantes de secundaria, se consideró como muestra a 142 estudiantes de cuarto grado. El tipo de investigación que se utilizó es la básica descriptiva, de nivel descriptivo ya que después del estudio de las variables, se identificó las posibles relaciones que existen entre sí, es una investigación cuantitativa de diseño no experimental. Se aplicó dos cuestionarios para un análisis detallado del desarrollo de las variables, esto se observó mediante la percepción individual de cada estudiante. Se consideró la prueba de KolmogorovSmirnov, concluyendo que, los datos presentan una distribución normal. Los resultados demuestran que el valor estadístico de r de Pearson es de 32,4, por lo que, se puede afirmar con un 95% de confianza que, hay correlación entre la variable Competencia comunicativa e Interacción comunicativa, dado que el p Valor = 0,000085 < 0.05, rechaza la hipótesis nula. La investigación realizada en esta institución concluyó que, la interacción entre el estudiante con el docente, compañeros e incluso familiares influye en el desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa en el área inglés, destacando la importancia del mismo.
The purpose of this research is to describe the degree of relationship between communicative interaction and communicative competence in the area of English in fourth grade high school students of an Educational Institution. Of the population made up of high school students, 142 fourth grade high school students were considered as a sample. The type of research used is basic descriptive, descriptive level since after the study of the variables, the possible relationships that exist between them were identified, it is a quantitative research of nonexperimental design. Two questionnaires were applied for a detailed analysis of the development of the variables, this was observed through the individual perception of each student. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was considered, concluding that the data present a normal distribution. The results show that the statistical value of Pearson’s r is 32.4, therefore, it can be affirmed with 95% confidence that, there is correlation between the variable Communicative competence and Communicative interaction, given that the p Value = 0.000085 < 0.05, rejects the null hypothesis. The research conducted in this institution concluded that the interaction between the student with the teacher, classmates and even family members influences the development of communicative competence in the English area, highlighting its importance.
