La investigación tiene como propósito corroborar la influencia de la estrategia del Storytelling en la producción oral en francés en estudiantes de nivel básico-intermedio en un instituto de idiomas. El tipo de investigación que se utilizó es aplicado y el diseño fue pre experimental, el tamaño de la muestra fue estimada por el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. La muestra fue aproximada de 18 estudiantes del nivel básico – intermedio. El procedimiento para la obtención de datos fue mediante la aplicación de prueba de entrada y salida. Los resultados indican que después de la prueba de salida, 24.07 % de estudiantes alcanzaron un nivel de logro satisfactorio, el 51.85 % están en el nivel de proceso y 24.07 % en el nivel de inicio. Por los resultados obtenidos se puede afirmar que, con la utilización de la técnica del Storytelling los estudiantes del nivel básico-intermedio lograron mejorar su nivel de producción oral en francés, por lo tanto, se pretende proponer la aplicación de la misma para aprendizaje de idiomas.
The purpose of the research is to corroborate the influence of the Storytelling strategy on the oral production in French of basic-intermediate level students in a language institute. The type of research used is applied and the design was pre-experimental, the sample size was estimated by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The sample was approximately 18 students at the basic- intermediate level. The procedure for data collection was through the application of an entry and exit test. The results indicate that after the exit test, 24.07 % of students reached a satisfactory level of achievement, 51.85 % are at the process level and 24.07 % at the beginning level. From the results obtained it can be affirmed that, with the use of the Storytelling technique, the students of the basic-intermediate level managed to improve their level of oral production in French, therefore, it is intended to propose the application of the same technique for language learning.
