Echar el Mayo Perigallo, es una vieja tradición Loperana recuperada en el tiempo. Se celebra durante el mes de mayo y es una fiesta de origen pagano con la que se pretende tener una atención con un ser querido, amigo o conocido al echarle el mayo, un trono de madera a modo de baldaquino que va repleto de flores, roscos y bizcochos. El Mayo se le entrega a la persona a la que se quiere tener una atención y finaliza cantando cancioncillas populares y degustando los dulces que lleva el Mayo.
Throw the Mayo Perigallo, is an old Loperana tradition recovered in time. It is celebrated during the month of May and is a festival of pagan origin with which it is intended to pay attention to a loved one, friend or acquaintance by throwing the Mayo, a wooden throne in the form of a baldachin that is filled of flowers, donuts and biscuits. The Mayo is given to the person who wants attention and ends with singing popular songs and tasting the sweets that the Mayo carries.
