Gender equality is one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Logistics, like many other sectors, has traditionally been and continues to be one of the most masculinized. The main objective of this study is to understand the assessment of female leadership by both workers in the sector in Spain and female managers, analyzing the reasons for their low presence in these positions. A methodological combination of quantitative analysis (survey of workers) and qualitative analysis (semi-structured interviews with managers) was used. The results indicate that acceptance of female leadership by workers in the sector is high, although women are more critical of stereotypes and more positive about a future with greater female leadership. The conclusion is that, thanks to legislative changes and the opening of the sector to female employment, the number of women working in the sector has increased, and they have also accessed leadership positions.
