The Trial of the Juntas had an impact on social representations of how justice is administered. Along these lines, we can affirm that, in the development of this historic trial, a number of local research processes converged, were synthesized and condensed, and found their impetus in the trial itself. However, perhaps due to the significance of that judicial process, they were relegated to the background. The focus of this work is precisely on those trials for crimes against humanity held in different parts of the country, from which abundant information emerged. Taking as a starting point our ethnographic research on judicial bureaucracies and trials for crimes against humanity, the objective of this article is to investigate the particularities that the justice process adopted in addressing the crimes committed by the dictatorship at the local level, paying particular attention to the social processes and networks of relationships that the trials reveal in each place, the emergence of new cases, and the inclusion of new figures and categories.
