La Ley de Cooperación de 1942 y el correspondiente Reglamento para su aplicación interesan por varios motivos: buscaban transformar las cooperativas bajo el control del franquismo e introducían una nueva ideología política del cooperativismo, alineada con los principios del nuevo régimen. Esta legislación representa un momento clave en la historia del cooperativismo en España, al establecer las bases legales para la creación, organización y funcionamiento de las cooperativas dentro del nuevo orden político.La Ley no solo regulaba aspectos como la constitución de las cooperativas y la estructura de sus órganos de gobierno, sino que también redefinía principios cooperativos fundamentales, como la gestión interna, la participación económica de los socios y la autonomía operativa de las cooperativas. Siempre bajo la influencia y las restricciones del Estado.
The Law of Cooperatives of 1942 and the Regulation for its application are fundamental for two key reasons: firstly, they intended to transform cooperatives into a state superstructure under the control of the regime; secondly, they introduced a new political ideology of cooperativism, aligned with the concepts promoted by Francoism.
