Residential buildings are carriers of regional culture, products of cultural evolution, and precious cultural heritage. Gannan Hakka traditional dwellings are an important component of Chinese traditional dwellings. Ganzhou Hakka dwellings also carry the profound historical and cultural information of the Hakka family group, showcasing distinct and unique regional cultural characteristics, and possessing rich aesthetic value. However, in the rapidly changing era and urban development process, the number of traditional Hakka houses in Gannan has been continuously decreasing, and the rate of extinction is astonishing. This has had a huge impact and significant impact on the inheritance of non renewable traditional culture. In order to better protect Gannan traditional dwellings and inherit Gannan Hakka traditional culture, it is urgent to conduct comprehensive, systematic, and in-depth research on them. This article explores and inherits the unique value of traditional Hakka dwellings in Gannan, which coexist harmoniously with nature in terms of space, form, and settlement, and extend the cultural context of the residents. Thus, we can gain a deeper understanding of the poetic beauty of its “combination of spirit and form” and “unity of things and myself”, and find a foothold in aesthetics for continuing the Hakka bloodline in Gannan.
