El objetivo de este trabajo es examinar la “teoría de los derechos de propiedad” (y su necesaria clarificación), para favorecer el crecimiento económico y agrícola, y confrontarla con los procesos históricos y los estudios concretos efectuados al respecto, mediante un enfoque comparado y suficientemente fundamentado. Si en un inicio la cuestión se formuló en el cuadro de la historia económica y agrícola europea o norteamericana, resulta evidente que también se plantea para Iberoamérica, tanto de cara al presente como en una perspectiva histórica, como ya han empezado a considerarlo los historiadores y científicos sociales del continente en la bibliografía sobre el tema. En los resultados que se ofrecen en este primer trabajo comparativo se toma una posición al respecto con la finalidad de suscitar nuevas formulaciones analíticas y de profundizar en la discusión.
The aim of this paper is to examine the “theory of property rights” and the need for their clarification it in order to promote economic and agricultural growth, by comparing it with historical processes and specific studies carried out on the subject, using a comparative and well-founded approach. Indeed, if the question was initially formulated in the context of European or North American economic and agricultural history, it is clear that it also arises for the Iberoamerican continent, both in terms of the present and in a historical perspective, as historians and social scientists on the continent and the literature produced on the subject have already begun to consider. The results offered in this first comparative work take a position in this respect, and their purpose is also to provoke new analytical formulations, with the aim of prolonging the discussion.
