    El objetivo general del estudio fue analizar el panorama de los derechos de las personas seropositivas en relación con el mundo del trabajo. Para ello, y con el fin de consolidar datos alusivos a la sociedad brasileña, se partió de fuentes secundarias para dilucidar los principales marcos legales desde 1988, año en que se promulgó la actual Constitución Federal. Se presentan las leyes brasileñas y las posiciones de la Organización Internacional del Tr a b a j o (oit) sobre los derechos de las personas seropositivas, y se destaca la lucha constante para ampliar, mantener y garantizar estos derechos. Final-mente, es necesaria una investigación que vaya en la dirección de investigar y reforzar la garantía del derecho al trabajo sin discriminación para todas las personas, incluidas las VIH positivas.

    The general objective of the study was to analyze the panorama of the sero-positive people’s rights in relation to the world of work. For this purpose and in order to consolidate data alluding to Brazilian society, this review article started from secondary sources to elucidate the main legal frameworks since 1988, year of the promulgation of the current Federal Constitution. Thus, Brazilian laws and the positions of the International Labor Organization (ilo) on the rights of hiv positive people are presented, highlighting dimen-sions of a constant struggle to expand, maintain and guarantee these rights. Finally, there is a need for research that goes in the direction of investigating and reinforcing the guarantee of the right to work without discrimination for all people, including HIV positive people.
