Esta crónica de legislación europea destaca los principales hitos de la actividad desarrolla por diversas instituciones europeas durante el segundo semestre de 2010. Al respecto se analizan diversos actos adoptados en materia de promoción de la igualdad de género y de eliminación de la violencia contra la mujer. Igualmente, son objeto de estudio la Resolución del Consejo por la que se crea un nuevo marco europeo sobre discapacidad y las medidas específicas establecidas en su seno, la Resolución del Parlamento europeo sobre la propuesta de Decisión del Consejo sobre el año europeo del voluntariado, así como los dictámenes del Comité de las Regiones sobre el año europeo del voluntariado y sobre la necesidad de la participación de la ciudadanía en la vida democrática de la Unión. Por último, también en el ámbito de la actividad del Comité de las Regiones se destacan los dictámenes sobre el analfabetismo funcional y las pautas indicadas para aumentar la lectura en las personas jóvenes, así como el dictamen sobre las desigualdades de la Unión en materia de Salud.
This chronicle of European legislation shows the most important objectives of the activity developed by different European institutions during the second semester of 2010. In this regard, this paper analyzes several acts adopted in the promotion of gender equality and the elimination of violence against woman.
At the same time, this paper studies: the Resolution of the Council establishing a new European framework on incapacity and the specific measures established within it, the European Parliament resolution concerning the proposal of Decision of Council regarding the European year of Volunteering and the need of citizenship’s participation in the democratic life of the Union. Finally, also in the framework of the activity of the Committee of Regions, it highlights the opinions about the illiteracy and the guidelines indicated to increase the reading of the young people and the opinion of the inequalities of the Union in the Health.
