El objetivo de este estudio es observar los cambios ocurridos en el ámbito del periodismo tele-visivo brasileño en el escenario después de la pandemia del COVID-19. La investigación adoptó como abordaje metodológico el análisis documental, tal como lo describe Gil (2008), posibilitan-do la identificación de las modificaciones en el periodismo televisivo en el contexto de la pandemia y, adicionalmente, se utilizó el análisis de materialidad audiovisual, propuesto por Coutinho (2016; 2018), a través de la investigación de cinco ediciones de dos programas informativos emitidos por Rede Globo, destacada como la principal estación de televisión de Brasil: Jornal Nacional, el principal y más antiguo noticiero de Globo, y MG1, un noticiero local del estado de Minas Gerais, elegido porque se inserta en un contexto más regional y que se caracteriza por la proximidad a los ciudadanos, como ocurre con otros noticieros locales de Rede Globo. El periodo delimitado para el análisis comprende la semana del 8 al 13 de mayo de 2023, representando la primera se-mana tras la declaración oficial del fin de la pandemia por parte de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Los resultados preliminares indican una serie de transformaciones que fueron asimiladas durante el período de pandemia –como se puede observar en otros estudios sobre el tema– y que continúan influyendo en el escenario del periodismo televisivo brasileño después del COVID-19, integrándose como elementos constitutivos de la noticia televisiva
The objective of this study is to observe the changes that occurred in the field of Brazilian televi-sion journalism during the scenario after the pandemic of COVID-19. The research adopted as a methodological approach the Documentary Analysis, as described by Gil (2008), making it pos-sible to identify the modifications in television journalism in the context of the pandemic and, additionally, the Audiovisual Materiality Analysis, proposed by Coutinho (2016; 2018), was used, through the investigation of five editions of two news programs broadcast by the Globo Network, Jornal Nacional, Globo’s main and oldest news program, and MG1, a local news program in the state of Minas Gerais chosen because it is inserted in a more regional context and which is char-acterized by proximity to citizens, as occurs with other local news programs of Rede Globo. The period delimited for the analysis covers the week of May 8th to 13th, 2023, representing the first week after the official declaration of the end of the pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). The preliminary results indicate a series of transformations that were assimilated during the pandemic period –as can be seen in other studies on the subject– and that continue to influ-ence the Brazilian television journalism scenario after COVID-19, becoming part of the constituent elements of television news.
