El trabajo busca analizar la obra Siddhartha de Hermann Hesse desde la perspectiva simbólica del Círculo Eranos. El examen parte de tres estrategias: en primer lugar, confrontar la perspectiva del Siddhartha histórico con la del Siddhartha literario de Hesse, en segundo momento, presentar el ambiente filosófico de la obra, el cual parte de un contexto meramente budista y en el que se analizan dos nociones imprescindibles: el samsara y el nirvana. Por último, realizar un análisis de la piedra y el río como símbolos del samsara y el nirvana budista.
The work seeks to analyze the work Siddharta by Hermann Hesse from the symbolic perspective of the Eranos Circle, the exam is based on three strategies. In the first place, to confront the perspective of the historical Siddharta with that of the literary Siddharta of Hesse, in the second place, to present the philosophical environment of the work, which starts from a merely Buddhist context and in which two essential notions are analyzed: samsara and nirvana. Finally, make an analysis of the stone and the river as symbols of samsara and Buddhist nirvana.
