With the advent of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN), many States have sought to act in a bold and transformative way, following a sustainable and resilient path in many aspects, to improve people’s life quality in the planet. Under the prism of its content, the UN 2030 Agenda covers a multiplicity of subjects, including the educational, with this theme being arranged by Edgar Morin in his writings and books, as in “Seven complex lessons in education for the future”. Therefore, the present study aims to verify the relation of Edgar Morin, through “Seven complex lessons in education for the future”, with the education provided in the fourth objective of the UN 2030 Agenda as a human right to development. From a theoretical study, the research used the technique of bibliographic research, over the use of specific works on the theme, in addition to using documents from international organizations directed to the subject. It was possible to verify that the ideals set forth by Edgar Morin in “Seven complex lessons in education for the future” are intrinsically related to the provisions of the fourth objective of the UN 2030 Agenda.
