  El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar jurídicamente los parámetros de procedibilidad de la acción extraordinaria de protección. El método de la presente investigación se desarrolló desde el enfoque cuantitativo, a través de la búsqueda, recolección y análisis crítico documental, referencial bibliográfico. Desde un diseño bibliográfico de tipo documental, cuya indagación desde la reflexión crítica, se construyó el método de análisis, considerando leyes, normas, textos jurídicos y tesis lo que condujo a la obtención de información relevante, la construcción del tejido teórico y la generación de las conclusiones. Se concluye que, la naturaleza de la acción extraordinaria de protección, es mixta, por una parte, busca la supremacía de la Constitución a través del respeto de los derechos constitucionales en el ejercicio de las garantías constitucionales realizadas por los jueces mediante sus sentencias y, por otra parte, pretende ser fuente de jurisprudencia basada en la interpretación de la Corte Constitucional.

  The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the procedural parameters of the extraordinary action of protection. The method of this research was developed from the quantitative approach, through the search, collection and critical documentary analysis, bibliographic reference. From a bibliographic design of documentary type, whose inquiry from the critical reflection, the method of analysis was built, considering laws, norms, legal texts and theses, which led to the obtaining of relevant information, the construction of the theoretical fabric and the generation of conclusions. It is concluded that the nature of the extraordinary action of protection is mixed, on the one hand, it seeks the supremacy of the Constitution through the respect of the constitutional rights in the exercise of the constitutional guarantees made by the judges through their sentences and, on the other hand, it intends to be a source of jurisprudence based on the interpretation of the Constitutional Court
