In Roman times, the Administration saw the need to protect the city from organic waste and disposal, within which they encountered the problem of avoiding the accumulation of corpses and, therefore, of guaranteeing health, hygiene, and fire prevention derived from the ustrinae. In particu¬lar, the areas close to the city and its walls were protected, the suburban perimeter area, which was also undergoing transformations for the benefit of citizens. In this area we found a series of epigraphic inscriptions that will be the object of study, and that demonstrate a regulation where popular actions came into play
