El propósito es determinar la proporción de información emitida en televisión abierta de Latinoamérica. Las hipótesis son: 1) La emisión de informativos se redujo a consecuencia del mayor acceso a Internet; y, 2) Los gestores de televisión tienen interés en explorar modelos en Internet. La metodología es cuantitativa y cualitativa a través de análisis de contenidos y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Se emplean datos de ocho países, entre 2012 y 2016, presentados por el OBITEL y la CEPAL; las entrevistas fueron realizadas a seis administradores de televisión. El fin de la hegemonía de la televisión informativa aún no se vislumbra.
The purpose is to determine the proportion of information broadcast on open television in Latin America. The hypotheses are: 1) The news broadcast was reduced as a result of increased access to the Internet; and, 2) Television managers are interested in exploring models on the Internet. The methodology is quantitative and qualitative through content analysis and semi-structured interviews. Data are used from eight countries, between 2012 and 2016, presented by OBITEL and ECLAC; The interviews were conducted with six television administrators. The end of the hegemony of the informative television still does not glimpse.
