The essay analyzes the Piedmont Region Law No. 11 of 18 May 2021 on the promotion of equal pay for male and female workers and support for stable and quality employment for women. The measure is to be credited with addressing an issue of great importance and topically, by pursuing the objective of introducing reward mechanisms for companies, intensifying tools to contrast women’s abandonment of work, particularly in the early years of a child’s life, as well as promoting an equal culture in the workplace. However, the need for more meaningful and incisive regulations regarding pay transparency for businesses is highlighted
