Jurisprudence has been characterizing as an alleged determinant of the recognition of a great disability to bilateral blindness that occurred after affiliation to the Social Security system or due to aggravation of pre-existing injuries. Having noted the inability of the beneficiary to perform the essential acts of daily life without the assistance of another person, and having previously undergone several interventions with poor results, the refusal of the beneficiary to undergo a new surgical intervention, which the official medical services propose as a recommendation with options for improvement in their visual acuity, is not an obstacle to the recognition of the great disability, but without the recovery being revealed with total certainty.
