Estudio comparativo del nivel de acoso escolar en estudiantes de una institución pública y privada

    En la presente investigación se propone comparar el nivel de acoso escolar en relación con el tipo de gestión escolar (pública o privada), mediante el test de Acoso y Violencia Escolar (AVE) diseñado por Iñaki y Piñuel. En segundo lugar, se pretende identificar modalidades recibidas de acoso y el posible daño clínico que revelen la existencia de afectación psicológica por medio de escalas de maltrato físico y psicológico. Finalmente, la influencia de las variables: edad, sexo e ingreso mensual familiar en el tipo de institución. Se evalúa a 160 estudiantes de 14 a 16 años del décimo año de Educación Básica de la provincia de Tungurahua.

    El diseño de investigación es cuantitativo y comparativo de corte transversal. Los datos se analizan con el programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) y aplicando el Chi cuadrado de Pearson. Los resultados de la investigación denotan la presencia de acoso escolar entre pares en ambas instituciones, sin embargo, se presenta mayor incidencia en el sector público con niveles de casi alto a muy alto con un 48.7%.

    In this research, it is proposed to compare the level of bullying in relation to the type of school management (public or private), using the School Bullying and Violence test (AVE) designed by Iñaki and Piñuel. Secondly, it is intended to identify received forms of harassment and the possible clinical damage that reveal the existence of psychological affectation through scales of physical and psychological abuse. Finally, the influence of the variables: age, sex, and monthly family income on the type of institution. 160 students from 14 to 16 years of age of the tenth year of Basic Education in the province of Tungurahua, Ecuador are evaluated. The research design is quantitative and cross-sectional comparative The data are analyzed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program and applying Pearson’s Chi-square. The research results show the presence of bullying among peers in both institutions, however, there is a higher incidence in the public sector with levels from almost high to very high with 48.7%.
