  Definir adecuadamente las Infraestructura Crítica, es clave para una adecuada estrategia de Ciberseguridad nacional, sin embargo, el concepto tiene dimensiones que no han sido consideradas en su diseño. Los estudios de la Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (CTS), pueden contribuir en una visión transversal e interdisciplinaria para el desarrollo de este concepto. Para ello, se requiere incrementar los actores en su diseño y desarrollo, e involucrar a la sociedad en su conjunto, para democratizar la implementación de una estrategia nacional de ciberseguridad, que defina apropiadamente su infraestructura crítica. En la investigación se muestra a la ciberseguridad como un objeto sociotécnico el cual debe ser explicado en su dimensión técnica y social. Como estudio de caso, se sigue el proceso de definición de Infraestructura Crítica en Chile, se comparan las definiciones de sectores y se muestra el impacto en las industrias y sociedad.

  Finalmente, se refiere a la relación entre infraestructura crítica e infraestructura crítica de información.

  Adequately defining Critical Infrastructure is key to an adequate national cybersecurity strategy; however, the concept has dimensions that have not been considered in its design. Science, Technology and Society studies (STS) can contribute to a transversal and interdisciplinary vision for the development of this concept. This requires increasing the number of actors in its design and development and involving society as a whole, to democratize the implementation of a national cybersecurity strategy that properly defines its critical infrastructure. The research shows cybersecurity as a socio-technical object that needs to be explained in its technical and social dimensions. As a case study, the process of defining Critical Infrastructure in Chile is followed, sector definitions are compared and the impact on industries and society is shown. Finally, it refers to the relationship between critical infrastructure and critical information infrastructure.
