Drones, one of the most advanced achievement in technological progress, can be seen as the future in aviation. Created essentially for military purposes, over the past decades drones also conquered the civil aviation sector, being used in various settings. During covid-19 epidemic peak, drones served as a powerful tool for containment activity. As of December 31st, 2020, thanks to the applicability of technical regulations adopted by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) into the legal order of each EU Member State, the uniformity of the legal framework on UAS all around the European Union was achieved. It is quite clear that drones are going to usher in a new age of aviation.
