A la luz de la sentencia de la Corte IDH dictada en el caso Vélez Loor Vs. Panamá se puede concluir que la legislación costarricense sobre el procedimiento administrativo de deportación es deficitaria en dos aspectos puntuales: el derecho de toda persona privada de libertad a ser presentada frente a un juez y el derecho a contar con una defensa técnica y -de ser necesario- costeada por el Estado.
In light of the judgment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights handed down in the Vélez Loor v. Panama case, it canbe concluded that the Costa Rican legislation on the administrative procedure of deportation is deficient in two specific aspects: the right of every person deprived of liberty to be brought before a judge and the right to have a technical defense and -if necessary -paid by the State.
