This teaching experience is framed in a greater sense referring to the promotion of the humanities and critical thinking among university students, considering that humanistic disciplines are experiencing a period of constant threat from different institutions. Thus, in order to promote research in the humanistic field by students, as well as to motivate them to continue their academic career in this space, we have developed an action within the framework of an optional subject in the last year of the Degree in Humanities: Intercultural Studies (Universitat Jaume I, Spain). This action focuses on the development of a research workin which students raise an object of study focused on the current problems of religions (from a broad perspective), which can later be presented in the context of a conference for young researchers. In this way, it is intended to value our disciplines while establishing in students an awareness of the social and academic value of their work.
