Esta colaboración completa aportaciones precedentes del mismo autor relacionadas con el área que rodea la catedral de Huesca e insiste en la importancia de los antecedentes romanos y visigodos, sin olvidar los árabes. Particular énfasis se ha puesto en la identificación del brazo de bronce hallado en la actual Parroquieta hacia 1886 con el de la escultura de Augusto de Prima Porta de los Museos Vaticanos. Igualmente se destaca la presencia de construcciones visigodas, escasas en otros puntos de Aragón. Y, por último, se incluye una llamada de atención sobre la relevancia histórica del entorno de la catedral, la necesidad urgente de preservarla y las posibilidades de difusión que ofrece.
This article completes previous contributions by the same author related to the area surrounding the cathedral of Huesca and insists on the importance of the Roman and Visigoth antecedents, without forgetting the Arab ones. Particular emphasis has been placed on the identification of the bronze arm found in the current Parroquieta around 1886 with that of the sculpture of Augustus of Prima Porta in the Vatican Museums. Likewise, the presence of Visigoth constructions, scarce in other parts of Aragon, stands out. Finally, a warning is included about the historical relevance of the surroundings of the cathedral, the urgent need to preserve it and the possibilities of diffusion that it offers.
