La intención comunicativa del discurso del gerente en las instituciones educativas debe estar dirigida al fomento y aplicación de los valores ético-sociales, Por tal razón, el objetivo de la investigación fue analizar en el discurso del gerente universitario la presencia de los valores ético-sociales al momento de dirigirse a su personal. La metodología empleada fue de carácter descriptiva con un enfoque cualitativo. La muestra estuvo constituida por 3 Directores de la Universidad La Guajira. Los resultados arrojaron que el discurso de los gerentes entrevistados estuvo dirigido al cumplimiento de unas leyes y una normativa específica sin tomar en cuenta la presencia de los valores éticos-sociales entre los cuales se destaca la tolerancia.
The communicative intention of the manager's discourse in educational institutions should be directed to the promotion and application of ethical-social values.
