El propósito de este manuscrito es develar la construcción del mundo de la vida de la niñez Mapuche en una escuela de Temuco. Se indaga la interacción y coexistencia del niño Mapuche con sus pares en la vida cotidiana. El método es cualitativo, se sitúa desde un enfoque etnometodológico y diseño de caso único. Se aplicaron entrevistas semiestructuradas y observación no participante. El análisis se realiza a partir de una reducción de datos por el programa Atlas ti a través de procedimientos de codificación abierta y axial. Se concluye que las vivencias y costumbres del niño, así como la construcción e inclusión de identidad Mapuche, en un aula de clases se construye a partir de la educación escolar no mapuche de tipo occidental.
The purpose of this manuscript is to reveal the construction of the world of life of Mapuche children in a school in Temuco. The interaction and coexistence of the Mapuche child with their peers in everyday life is investigated. The method is qualitative, it is situated from an ethnomethodological approach and a single case design. Semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation were applied. The analysis is carried out from a data reduction by the Atlas ti program through open and axial coding procedures. It is concluded that the experiences and customs of the child, as well as the construction and inclusion of Mapuche identity, in a classroom is constructed from non-Mapuche Western-type school education.
