«El Bibliotecario y el trovador español», revista especializada en Biblioteconomía y Documentación comenzó a editarse el 1 de mayo de 1841 y tuvo continuidad hasta el 18 de agosto de ese mismo año en España, aunque siguió publicándose en Bruselas bajo el mismo título. Los fines de la revista quedan recogidos en su primer número. Se destaca especialmente la mención al origen de las Bibliotecas Públicas que describe en uno de los artículos de la publicación D. Basilio Sebastián Castellanos
El Bibliotecario y el trovador español», magazine specilized in libraryanship and Documentation,began to be printed on the first of May in 1841 and had been published until the 18 of August of thesame age in Spain, although the publication was continued in Brussels under the same title. The aimsof the magazine are gathered in their first number. The mention to the origin of the libraires stands out,descried in the articles of his publiction D. Basilio Sebastián Castellanos
