Se analiza el impacto de la pandemia del Coronavirus COVID - 19 en el aceleramiento del teletrabajo en el Uruguay como medio de realización o para el desarrollo de actividades laborales que permiten dicha modalidad. A falta de una regulación jurídica amplia de esta novel modalidad laboral, salvo el Decreto 94/2020, en este texto se hace una exposición descriptiva de algunos problemas que el teletrabajo plantea, sugiriendo algunas cuestiones jurídicas atinentes a los derechos y obligaciones de trabajadores y empleadores involucrados. Se agregan además, como addenda, el proyecto de Ley a estudio del Parlamento uruguayo sobre la temática, incluyendo sus respectivas exposiciones de motivos.
The impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the acceleration of teleworking as a tool or for the development of work activities that allow it, are analyzed. In the absence of legal regulation of this new labor modality, except for Decree 94/2020, a descriptive presentation is made and some problems that teleworking raises, suggesting some legal questions related to the rights and obligations of workers and employers. The two draft bills for study by Parliament are also added as addenda, with their respective explanations.
