How to survive social isolation during the new coronavirus pandemic, if touching is something fundamental to my existence? This is the starting question for this academic essay. To answer it, it was necessary to think about my body, my priviledge and speech position, based mainly on the social class, race/ethnicity and gender categories, as well as those of humanity, nature, culture, environment and the sciences, in connection with the “other” bodies, those that have been the targets of extermination strategies since the creation of the Modern State. I believe that for now, in one way or another, we have been modified, however, when the total suspension of social isolation occurs, I do not know if we will be more empathetic, if there will be narratives of salvation and if we will dance again in communion with the mother Earth.
