The Tragic Week of Barcelona in 1909 was undoubtedly one of the main events that framed the beginning of the Spanish 20th century, due to its wide national and international consequences. However, the impact that this crucial event had in a territorial and in a local level has been scarcely studied, specially in small provincial capitals, being the case of Huesca a gap that must be covered. Thus, the aim of this paper is to analyse, through historical press, the reactions that the Tragic Week had in the Huesca’s society, how news were spread and received and what attitudes and actions triggered.
