In the Basque Autonomous Community, the presence of the local minority language Basque has gradually increased in the workplace due to recent language policies, although the local majority language Spanish is still clearly prevalent. At the same time, in consequence of internationalization, English has also gained in importance as a lingua franca for international work-related activities.
