El presente artículo tiene la intención de hacer visible la empresa político- intelectual del poeta, diplomático y periodista hondureño Froylán Turcios dentro del espectro intelectual latinoamericano. Se pretende reconstruir una parte de su trayectoria intelectual y caracterizar su línea editorial, propia de la realidad centroamericana de inicios del siglo XX, en una de sus publicaciones más importantes: Revista Ariel. La Revista Ariel (1925-1940) puede ser considerara una de las principales articuladoras del antiimperialismo de la región durante los años veinte del siglo pasado por el papel que desempeñó como parte del Ejercito Defensor de la Soberanía Nacional de Nicaragua (EDSNN) encabezado por el guerrillero nicaragüense Augusto C. Sandino.
The present article intends to make visible the political-intellectual enterprise of the Honduran poet, diplomat and journalist Froylán Turcios within the Latin American intellectual spectrum. The aim is to reconstruct a part of his intellectual career and characterize his editorial line, typical of the Central American reality of the early twentieth century, in one of his most important publications: Ariel Magazine.
