Taking as context and reference the events and political transformations that occurred in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the 2014-2017 period, the work addresses a series of institutional positions and debates held within two of the main academic networks of Latin American social sciences. The research is based on the analysis of texts and discourses, the opinion of experts and the testimony of protagonists. LASA and Clacso give an account of the specific forms of agreement and public intervention of the intellectuals, as well as of the different nexuses and political projects that frame and impact said action.
