The main goal of this paper is to study the diverse ways of representation of the Spanish phenomenon known as La Movida, understanding it as a shared experience between the artist and society. Since the concept of “image” is too broad, this analysis will focuse on some of the most representative Works of the “Peluqiería” serie by Ouka Leele (1975-1985) as a particular case, approaching other critiques and analyses of her work assuming the existence of broader social models that explain the cultural processes. Thus, the first thing to do is try to figure out the message in Ouka Leele’s work that, as many other artists of her time, has seen her images become popular icons that belong to the social imagery, acting as references of their period and whose contribution is essential to understand the art and society of today
