In this paper the construction of the historiographic account about the Cuban Revolution is compared and described from the approach of two films: ‗Memories of Underdevelopment‘, a 1966 film by Cuban director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea; and ‗Before Night Falls‘, a 2000 film by American director Julian Schnabel, as an expression of the most important Latin American historical event of the Cold War period in the continent.
