"The study aims to connect the prefix ""meta-"" in the Freudian ""metapsychology"" with the synonymic preposition ""beyond"" in the title Beyond the Principle of Pleasure. After an inquiry into the notions and chronology of the ""meta-psychology"" in the corpus of Freud's works, the paper engages in a close study of Beyond the Principle of Pleasure, especially highlighting the notions of compulsion of repetition, life and death instincts and instinctual dualism."
Je tente d’opérer un rapprochement chez Freud entre le préfixe « méta- » dans « métapsychologie » et la préposition synonymique « au-delà » dans le titre Au-delà du principe de plaisir. Après une exploration notionnelle et chronologique de la « métapsychologie » dans le corpus freudien, je me livre à une analyse serrée de l’essai Au-delà du principe de plaisir, y faisant notamment ressortir les notions de compulsion de répétition, de pulsions de vie et de mort et de dualisme pulsionnel.
