El éxito del proceso democrático español permite en la actualidad defender la intervención del Rey la noche del 23 de febrero de 1981, pero también revisar este protagonismo casi absoluto que se ha concedido a la Corona en la desactivación del golpe. Como motivo de debate y para plantear nuevas alternativas, el autor critica una interpretación del Título II de la Constitución española condicionada por el comportamiento del Rey en esas horas.
The successful democratic process in Spain now not only allows to defend the King’s intervention the night of February 23rd 1981, but it also to revise the almost absolute power then given to the Crown to desactivate the coup D’Etat. To discuss and bring forward alternatives the author criticises an interpretation of Title II of the Spanish Constitution which was conditioned by the King’s actions during those hours.
