Improving scientific pedagogical training of professionals, who serve as teachers in the countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, is a prerequisite for improving the quality of education. As alternatives oriented to that purpose and in correspondence with the scientific and collaborative activity undertaken by the Latin American and Caribbean Pedagogical Institute (IPLAC), the paper presents the characteristics of the PhD Program in Educational Science taking place in Venezuela and its theoretical and methodological basement. We present some experiences of its implementation, the first results in research and theoretical - methodological training of the Venezuelan teachers. We also deepen in the management of this program through a conception of integration that involves the 12 Universities of Pedagogical Sciences of the country. In the framework of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA), the experiences gained in the training of the scientific potential can be an example of Cuba's contribution to the goal of integration of the peoples.
