In the context of the UKs exit from the EU, this article explores the nature of the disputes that may arise in the event of a failure to reach an agreement by the UK and the EU on financial matters, and how these may be resolved in the absence of such an agreement. In particular, this article considersfrom a public international law perspectivewhether the UKs international obligations under EU treaties survive the UKs withdrawal from the EU, which actors will have standing to bring a claim, and which dispute settlement bodies might adjudicate such a dispute.
