Robert Galisson
There is presently a strong social demand for learning languages and cultures but in the same time external pressures and internal dissensions instigate an identitary crisis. The author shows that this content is claimed to belong to several disciplinary fields, on the basis of differing assumptions, hard to conciliate. The last part of his paper is devoted to the presentation of the main lines of a branch of instruction which asserts its autonomy and the central position of the teacher in a framework of thinking and conceptualization, a position which had been unrighteously denied.
