After ten years of Rafael Correa government, Ecuador decided in second run between the continuity and the right. Without being Lenín Moreno, the official candidate, the most charismatic, he won to Guillermo Lasso, the right-wing candidate. The victory was defined with a percentage difference of almost 3%, contrary to the result of the exit poll and with a delegitimized electoral authority. This ended with the opposition assuring the existence of a fraud. The official party didn´t win with a large percentage but Moreno will govern with a National Assembly in majority and with the powers of the State on their side. In the end, Ecuador decided for the continuity in spite of the absence of Correa.
