Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir los conceptos de visibilidad, popularidad, autoridad y reputación en el contexto de los medios de comunicación social. Sostenemos que ciertos usuarios se destacan y alcanzan altos niveles de reputación en la red por rutinas y prácticas comunes.
Partimos de la idea de que la reputación es generada por factores internos, externos y externos coyunturales. Argumentamos que los blogs consolidan estas dinámicas y la extienden a otros medios de comunicación social. En seguida, se revisan los estudios que tienen como objetivo medir y crear rankings de blogs con reputación en la red.
In the present article, we aim to reflect and discuss the concepts of visibility, popularity, authority and reputation in the context of social media.We argue that some users will stand out and reach high levels of reputation in their routines and practices in the Internet. The central idea is that different factors generate online reputation: internal factors, external factors and external situational factors.We argue that blogs consolidated these dynamics and extended it to other media. In a second instance of the article, we review studies that aim to measure and create rankings of reputable blogs in the web.
