Se estudia la comunicación de riesgo del ébola 2014-2015 en Twitter, haciendo hincapié en analizar la credibilidad y confianza en los medios de comunicación. Para ello se analizaron 28.760 tweets de España sobre el ébola y se realizó una encuesta a 294 personas sobre los hábitos para informarse en crisis sanitarias. Los resultados resaltaron una transformación de las representaciones sociales creadas por la comunicación de crisis de las nuevas redes sociales, subrayando la falta de confianza en los medios de comunicación. Se discuten las implicaciones sociales de los resultados y la importancia de la comunicación en futuras crisis sanitarias.
Risk communication in Twitter during the ebola 2014-2015 is studied, focusing on analyzing the credibility and trust in the media. For that 28,760 tweets of Spain about ebola were analyzed and a survey about information habits in health crises to 294 people was carried out. The results highlighted a transformation of social representations created by the crisis communication of the new social networks, underlining the lack of trust in the media. The social implications of the results and the importance of communication in future health crises are discussed.
