El objetivo de este artículo es analizar al street art comocampo a partir de la teoría de Bourdieu y comprenderlas formas de participación que los productores demurales tienen en el ámbito de la intervención gráficaurbana. Los conceptos estructuradores de este estudioson campo, habitus, illusio, capital simbólico y street art.Desde un enfoque fenomenológico, se realizaron entrevistasen Tijuana a autores de murales callejeros autorizados,categorizándolos como hegemónicos o pretendientessegún sus experiencias y los sentidos atribuidosa su ejercicio de intervención urbana. Como hallazgose identificó la existencia de disputas materiales y simbólicas,tanto al interior como al exterior del campo,a pesar de tratarse del estatus autorizado de la práctica.Se concluye de ello que existen nuevas formas destreet art que se disputan los sentidos con formas anterioresde intervención urbana, lo que desafía las reglasdel juego.
The objective of this paper is to analyze street art as afield based on Bourdieu’s theory and to understandthe forms of participation that the producers of muralshave in the urban graphic intervention. The structuringconcepts of this study are field, habitus, illusio,symbolic capital and street art. From a phenomenologicalapproach, interviews were conducted in Tijuanawith authors of authorized street murals, categorizingthem as dominants and pretenders, according to theirexperiences and the meanings attributed to their exerciseof urban intervention. As a finding, the existenceof material and symbolic disputes was identified, bothinside and outside the field, despite the authorized statusof the practice. It is concluded that there are newforms of street art that dispute the senses with previousforms of urban intervention, which defies the rules ofthe game.
