Los tres maestros cumplieron ochenta años en el 2015 y el día 2 de febrero de 2016, celebraron conjuntamente su octogésimo aniversario, con una intervención oral en la sede de la Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación, bajo la presidencia del Académico y Catedrático Don Alfredo Montoya Melgar, que hizo la presentación de aquéllos. Uno tras otro, por orden de su fecha de nacimiento, relacionaron las seis últimas décadas de las relaciones laborales en España, con lo que había significado para ellos la dedicación de sus vidas al estudio y a la aplicación del Derecho del Trabajo. Seguidamente, respondieron a las preguntas que les formuló el Profesor Montoya Melgar sobre temas de la máxima actualidad en la España de 2016 : el presente y el futuro de la reforma laboral, la contratación laboral indefinida versus la contratación temporal y la sostenibilidad de las pensiones públicas.
The three professors reached eighty years in 2015 and, on February 2, 2016, they celebrated together their 80th anniversary, with their interventions at the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, under the chairmanship of the Academic and Professor Mr. Alfredo Montoya Melgar, who introduced them. One after the other, in order of their date of birth, they recounted the last six decades of labour relations in Spain, with what had meant for them the dedication of their lives to the study and the application of the Labour Law. Afterwards, they answered questions made by Professor Montoya Melgar about the most current and actual subjects in the Spain of 2016: the present and the future of the labour reform, the indefinite term contracts versus the temporary hiring and the sustainability of the public pension.
