This work analyzes from the Spanish comparative point of view the German statute ruling the general minimum wage, which is in force since 1 January 2015. With the enactment of this statute, Germany abandons the club of member States of the European Union failing to have an interprofessional minimum wage. This fact can provoke a domino effect, which is also analyzed in this work, not only on other member States still belonging to such club, but even on the article ruling the social policy in the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
